Lubina Agarwal Art

What happens when the mind goes quiet and we look inward?

Paintings from the space beyond words.

The artist seated in a bright living room with a vaulted wooden ceiling, beside her large paintings of women in white, one dissolving into drifting stones.

Lubina Agarwal is an artist whose visual language has evolved through three decades of work as a healer, homeopath, counsellor, teacher & facilitator of moon meditation circles and transformative retreats in London, Auckland, Bali and now Mumbai.

Her approach to the canvas mirrors her approach to healing: to listen to the subtle currents that shape human experience, and to guide them through alignment rather than force.

Symbols began to arrive during sessions, first as small pen drawings on scraps of paper, given to patients as tools for reflection. In her Mumbai studio, these markings grew in scale and presence, moving from pen to charcoal to immersive acrylic canvases that act as portals into the unseen.

Rooted in the natural rhythms of the world, the work steps beyond thought and emotion into a field of pure potential. These paintings do not illustrate. They hold the unsaid: the shifts, the stillness, the quiet becomings that live beyond language.

In her Anthropomorphic works, animals take on human roles, habits and contradictions, becoming mirrors of the world we have created. Through satire, symbolism and playful observation, these paintings explore our relationship with power, justice, freedom, technology and the natural world. Beneath the humour lies a more uncomfortable question: are we observing human behaviour—or simply recognising ourselves?

Each canvas leaves room for the viewer to enter and find a quiet space of their own.
